    Giving Tuesday Event

Giving Tuesday is a globally celebrated day of giving back, so on November 28, 2017 at 5 p.m. we will be hosting an event for Salt Lake County Animal Services. SLCo Animal Services is raising money to continue specialized trainings for their shelter pets and already adopted pets. One of their life-saving goals is to reduce the number of returns in the more difficult dog population: dogs that may have behavior issues. So give the gift of training! We will be donating 10% of our taproom sales to the cause. *Unfortunately, the Department of Health will not allow us to have pets inside of the taproom.*

    Two Bronze Medals - NABA

We are so thankful and excited for our bronze medals for Kensington Grand Saison and Thursday IPA that were awarded at the North American Beer Awards on Friday, June 2.

  • Meet the Staff - Emily, Danae, Nicole

Meet the Staff - Emily, Danae, Nicole

Emily is a transplant from Minnesota and a founding member of the Hop Bombshells Homebrew Club. She likes rainy days, a good book, and the occasional piña colada. When she’s not serving, drinking, or teaching people about beer, she can be spotted at farmer’s markets around the valley with her food business, Indulge Eats.

Danae recently came to Utah from San Diego after working at Green Flash Brewing Co for almost 2 years. She comes with some experience from their barrel aged tasting room, Cellar 3, and is excited for the new mountain scenery and beer this state has to offer as well as to start nursing school here in Utah. Originally from Michigan, the snow and seasons aren't altogether new, but working at RoHa will bring bright new beer adventures that she is incredibly excited for! Being a firey red head, she naturally leans towards the bitter sweet combination of a hoppy IPA and malty amber, favoring red IPAs when given the chance.

Nicole was born and raised in Ogden, Utah but fell in love with Salt Lake City. When she isn't scouring the city for new beer, she can be found running wild in our glorious mountains somewhere, snapping pictures and still drinking a beer. Her dream is to broaden the female presence in the craftbeer world and open her own brewery someday.

  • Owners of RoHa - Chris Haas

Owners of RoHa - Chris Haas

Chris Haas, born in Michigan, a graduate of Michigan State University arrived in Salt Lake City, Utah more than 20 years ago. He has been a staple in the Utah beer scene since arriving, starting his beer career at Fuggles, which became Squatters and then on to The Pub at Desert Edge, where he worked for 17 years. Brewing incredible beer has been a part of Chris' DNA his entire life.

Chris works hard and plays hard, which in my opinion, is the secret to a happy, incredibly successful life.

If you haven't had the opportunity to try a beer crafted by Chris, get down here right now! You'll discover your life wasn't complete without it.

  • Rob Phillips puts the Ro in the RoHa Brewing Project and was born and raised in Northern Idaho and went to college at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana. He has a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a Minor in Business Entrepreneurship. He has lived in Utah with his family since 2004. He has always had a love for craft beer and has spent 4 to 5 years volunteering in local breweries to hone his brewing skills.

  • I'd love to take a minute to profile one of our owners Josh Stern. Intense. Adventurous. Passionate. Driven. It may sound cliché, but spend five minutes with Josh Stern and it’s obvious all those descriptions are accurate.

  • We are so close to opening our doors, we can taste it. Well, almost. There are many, many pieces of the puzzle that need to fit perfectly before we can open. But we are making progress.

  • RoHa Brewing Project is excited to introduce our newest team member, Jamie Burnham. We are not only gaining a great addition to the team, we are gaining industry experience in beer, brewing, and legislation. Burnham ran the homebrew store, The Beer Nut for the past twelve years.
