Beer is for EVERYONE

Beer is for everyone, celiacs excluded. (Sorry celiac kids) The trick is to find the right beer for you. Some people out there, me included like almost all styles of beer. That doesn’t mean I like all beer, but all styles. Beers are interpretations of the style brewers from all over the world are trying to represent.

Try to think of the flavors and aromas that you enjoy and then seek those out in beers. That’s the start. Once you know what you are looking for, finding a beer that you like is much easier. Also, ask a friend or your neighbor in the bar or the store what they are drinking and why they like it. Don't be afraid to try something you've never heard of before. You might not like every single beer from a particular brewery, but be sure to try the others they have to offer. And, just because one interpretation of a style from a brewery doesn't float your boat, it doesn't mean another brewery won't hit the mark spot on. There are breweries out there that have beers that I don’t particularly care for, however, those same breweries have some great beers that I enjoy immensely. You can judge a brewery or a beer style on one beer but the real test is to find what they are doing to your liking. There are so many different styles and interpretations out in the world, that there has to be one for you. You just have to do the leg work to find it. Don’t be afraid to fail a few times in this endeavor, it’s only beer. It doesn't cost that much and it doesn't last that long. Keep trying and keep enjoying the ride. I know I will.

Cheers,
