Let's talk about beer packaging. Beer comes in all types of packaging like cans, bottles, growlers, kegs, etc. Here is the thing about packaging; it’s packaging. The package is just there to transport the beer until you can put it in a proper drinking vessel.
That’s not to say that I haven't had a beer out of its original packaging. I have. But that is not the way it is intended to be consumed. That’s old school, macrobrew thinking. If you wanna truly enjoy a beer, put it in a glass. That’s right, a glass. Not to be snobby, but you get the best experience when using a glass. The larger opening helps you take in the aroma and taste the beer better.
Not sure where people got the idea they should drink out of a 22oz bottle. They shouldn’t, unless it is an emergency. Then all bets are off. But rarely is it an emergency. You don't see many people drinking out of a growler do you? That being said, if you have pictures of you drinking out of a growler please send them to us. I hear a lot of people say I'd rather drink from a bottle than a can. Well I’d rather be hit in the head with a stick rather than poked in the eye with one. Not great choices.
If you have the $ to buy beer you probably have the $ to buy a glass as well. Yeah yeah, camping, outdoors, on the river, in a theater; all those are in a pinch. Lets start adulting and pour it into a glass. One after the other. Cheers -Haas
